Many people strive for positions of leadership but too frequently reveal their motivations for doing so to be less than noble. Those aspiring to leadership, including many Christians, seem to do so simply for the authority or status to be gained. The adjective \u201cservant\u201d is added by some to indicate a higher, or godlier, characteristic. This message will consider whether Christians should appeal to such a distinction in their understanding of this vital task.
