Are you normal? With smiles on your faces, some of you might respond, "No way. I'm weird!" But I am willing to bet that most of us would view ourselves as normal, ordinary people. We are not super famous. We are not super rich. We are not super abnormal. We are just us. We are just working hard to make it through life. I think that is how the Jews who returned to Jerusalem felt. They were not super special. They were just trying to make a normal life for themselves. What could be wrong with that? But, through the prophet Haggai, God challenges them to be more than just ordinary. He challenges them to right the ship of their priorities, and to make their lives count for something extraordinary. And guess what? Through the prophet Haggai, God challenges us in the same way. I cannot wait to see you Sunday, as we see how God encourages us to make extraordinary lives through extraordinary priorities. P.Dave
