The Powerful One
One of the most oft-used phrases by modern Christians is \u201cGod is in control.\u201d And while this phrase is very true, we find that we utter this phrase when its very obvious that we are helpless to do anything about a situation. If you are anything like me, the phrase \u201cGod is in control\u201d is usually accompanied by the phrase \u201cI need to pray.\u201d The early church was no different. In Acts 12, we see that they felt completely powerless to do anything about the dire circumstance they faced. But even though they felt powerless, the truth is they were powerful. On Sunday, I\u2019m excited to keep pressing forward in the book of Acts. I can\u2019t wait to show you how our powerful God is ready to transform our perceptions.
