I am willing to bet that most of you have never heard a sermon preached out of the book of Haggai or Malachi. If you have, its probably been a sermon about building a church building or raising more money. But these two little books have so much more to say than simply, "give more money" or "build a bigger building." These little books speak the grace of Jesus Christ directly into our lives. Over the next three months we're going to see how God wants to take center stage in our lives. This series is a natural tie to our last series, "Give Your Life Away." In Haggai and Malachi, we are going to see that prioritizing Jesus is the motivating factor in giving our lives away. This Sunday is an introduction to these two little books. You may have never before heard the term, "Post-Exilic Prophet," but after this Sunday, you will know exactly what it means. And you will know what it means for your life.
