When I was a kid, my parents bought me a complete set of Dr. Suess books. They were great. I loved reading them. But as I grew older, I read them less and less. Eventually, I sold them all in a garage sale. Years later, I had my own kids. I always regretted selling those books. My kids would have loved them. Regret is a powerful force in our lives. Wouldn't it be nice to live life without regret? This week, we are starting a new sermon series on the life of King Saul. King Saul lived his life with much regret. But, in the pages of his stories, is the truth of living a godly life without regret. We can learn from Saul's mistakes. It should be an engaging way to spend the rest of the summer.
