This Sunday was one of the most exciting Sundays in the history of WCC: It was the culmination of Vision Month, and together we took a look at the Next 5 Steps in front of us at WCC. As I was preparing for this Sunday's message, I was reminded of a trip I took when I was 17 years old. My father was brave enough to allow my friend and I to drive to Colorado by ourselves. Before I left, my dad (being a very wise father) made sure that I had a map with me. In fact, he went to the travel agency and purchased turn-by-turn directions for my trip. This was in the days before GPS, and my father wanted to make sure I didn't get lost. It seems like a simple thing to do, but it was really important for me to know exactly where I should go. It was important for me to know the next steps in my journey. As a church, we have a vision. We're bringing people together to Live like Jesus, Love like Jesus and Give like Jesus. As we set out on this journey, what we need are turn-by-turn directions. What are the next steps in our journey? Exactly what will we do to make this vision a reality? This Sunday, Vision Month culminated with a plan. Together, we will take specific steps to Bring People Together To Live, Love and Give like Jesus. P.Dave
