Sometimes I wake up in the morning and God feels far away. The truth is that God is everywhere. God the Holy Spirit lives in me because I have been saved through faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus. But that doesn't change the fact that sometimes He feels far away. Have you ever woke up and felt that way? That is why James 4:8 is one of the most encouraging verses in the Bible. "Come near to God and He will come near to you." Everyone should put that verse on their short list to memorize. Because no matter how far we push ourselves away from God, He is never too far. What could be greater than God? Is there anything that can be "more" than God? Living out the answer to that question will change your life. This Sunday, I hope you'll be challenged and encouraged by God's Word to us.
