Meet Them Where They Are Acts 13:13 - 52 Although I do not recall the context, I distinctly remember a wise piece of teaching from my Mom's friend to me in our home when I was a senior in high school. She said, "Meet people where they are, not where you think they should be." That idea has stuck with me for almost 40 years. Even when I was not a believer in Christ, I understood this truth. All truth is God's truth, after all. This idea returned to me, as I was preparing for the sermon message this coming Sunday. In Acts 13:13-52, Paul and Barnabas evangelized their audiences by meeting them where they were, not where the missionaries thought they should be.
