For the follower of Jesus Christ, the Apostle Paul tells us in Ephesians 1 that we have been "blessed with all spiritual blessings." This includes being adopted into God's family; being welcomed into His presence; and being forgiven and loved. So, the Apostle prayed that the Ephesians would have the wisdom and insight to know God. God does not want us to feel alienated, but accepted and connected with Him. As I have been working through Ephesians 1, I have noted three themes: Enriched Living, Engaged Living, and Empowered Living. I want to focus on the prayer in Ephesians 1:15-23 and talk about "Engaged Living." I might even be tempted to make a comment or two about vision since I know that you are involved in a re-visioning process at Waukee Community Church.
