Do I Trust?

I once watched a lady jump off a bridge. She was attached to a very large bungee cord. She was ready to place her life in the hands of strangers who had prepared the whole thing. I'll bet that she even signed a contract saying that those people (in whom she was placing her trust) weren't responsible if something went terribly wrong. As she stooped on the precipice of her descent, she looked at her friends, smiled, crossed her fingers, and jumped! When it comes to trusting God, many of us are like this woman. We get ready to do something a little crazy, cross our fingers, and hope that God will get us through. Isn't that what God meant when He said: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart"? (Proverbs 3:5) God intended trust to be more than a mere blind leap of faith. Trust is based on something. On Sunday, I hope that you will see how you and I can live a life of trust and experience the kind of good life that God desires! P.Dave
