Avoiding Stupid

"When I grow up I want to be stupid!" That is not a response you typically hear from a grade school child when she is asked, "what do you want to be when you grow up?" "Stupid" is not a goal to which most of us ascribe. "Stupid" is what happens when we are not paying attention. I don't know about you, but I'd like to avoid stupid whenever possible. The Bible calls "Avoiding Stupid" by another name -- Wisdom. That's what the book of Proverbs is all about. This summer, we're going to spend a couple of months in this fascinating book. And we will learn what wisdom is so that we can, in turn, avoid stupid. This Sunday, we are going to launch on this journey together. You can prepare by reading Proverbs 1:1-7. I can't wait to see you then! P.Dave
