UXAUS2019 Day 2\nNearly every day we hear of new privacy concerns related to technology. The implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation in Europe has brought the idea of Privacy By Design to the forefront of many designer's minds. Traditionally privacy has been defined as control, with greater control seen as a good thing. However, the traditional view of privacy as control may prove limiting in a society driven by data. \nThis talk will go on a journey through the many dimensions of privacy, from the legal view of privacy to the norms and values that drive decision-making around privacy. Using examples from health care, and using My Health Record as a case study, we will explore how we can go beyond privacy as control.
