Chama St. Louis talks about her time as a grassroots organizer right here in Peoria. Chama is the organizer for the Peoria People·s Project. The PPP is a community and labor coalition whose purpose is to fight for racial and economic justice for working families in Peoria. She is also the founder of the Black Justice Project which partners with other organizations to raise awareness of police brutality, to speak up for people experiencing injustice and to organize candidate forums on racial equity. Chama St. Louis spoke at the Women·s March and many other community calls for justice.
