I decided to search the island for a spring to quench my thirst. As I\npassed under vibrant green vines, there before me was a tiny pool of\ncrystal clear-water surrounded by periwinkle blossoms. Cupping my hands in\nthe water and lifting it to my lips, I drank and was refreshed.\n.\nSuddenly, the surface of the water rippled, though no wind blew this far\ninland. I gazed intently as a picture formed in the water. I blinked\ntwiceit was me! First as a baby, next as a toddler, then the day my\nparents proudly held the Growing Ceremony and our whole town came to\ncelebrate. This went on and on, snapshots of my life, the good and the bad.\n.\nTears filled my eyes and coursed down my cheeks. \u201cCould it be true? This\nfeeling I\u2019ve had all my life that Someone knows me Someone cares about\nevery intimate detail of my existence?\u201d Yes, My Child! The answer was\nimmediate, warm and soft. I knew in the depths of my soul that it was the\nPresence. I created you, and I love youyou are wonderfully made. My\nheart felt as though it would explode in joy.\n.\nI am the Author of Life. A bright light swelled around me, and a large\nbook gilded with gold appeared in the pool. You see, all the days ordained\nfor you were written in My book before one of them came to be. You were\ncreated to be in relationship with Me. I will never leave you or forsake\nyou, my precious one.\n.\nThe book flipped to the next page, but I found I could not decipher what\nwas written on it. \u201cIs this my future? Can I not know it?\u201d I felt the\nAuthor\u2019s smile surround me like an embrace. I know the plans I have for\nyouthey are to give you hope and a future.
