Eric Paul Erickson is a writer, host and award-winning filmmaker & actor. He worked as a journalist for the Chicago Tribune, Roswell Daily Record and numerous other newspapers, magazines and media outlets. He has authored and co-authored non-fiction books on historical topics including the Civil War, the Old West and Viking culture. He is also the founder of Viking Dog Entertainment, a Los Angeles based film and publishing content creator. Viking Dog also raises money for wolf rescue in North America.
Currently host of the long-form conversational interview podcast “The Open Highway,” he has hosted radio shows including “Top 40 from Hell” and podcasts including “The Valhalla Lounge” and “WAVP Radio.” His first novel “Ascension” was published in 2020 and he is the creator of the Little Book Series and co-author of the book "How To Start A Podcast In Less Than A Day." He has also taught at a number of institutions including English in South Korea and entrepreneurship at UCLA.
Eric has appeared in film, television and video games including the cult hit movie “Snake Outta Compton,” “Jurassic Galaxy,” “Dam Sharks” and the smash video game “Life is Strange 2.” He has also appeared on the television shows “The Last Ship,” “The Young and the Restless” and “Stitchers.”
As a screenwriter, he has penned several feature films and won the Best Storytelling award for his movie “Truth” at the Laughlin International Film Festival. He also directed the film, for which he collected Best Director, Best Actor and Best Feature wins and nominations at several film festivals.
Eric lives by the motto of “Never Doubt Your Power,” which took on its meaning after he shed over 70 pounds following several life changing experiences and emerged with a new vision of life. He has also worked in the world in the world of politics as a campaign manager and consultant as well as the music and event industry.
