Fika with Vicky\u2019s returning guest this week is Author Sarah Archer. We\u2019ll be chatting about our mutual admiration for Alice Munro, and sharing thoughts on writing, life, and relationships, found in her work and interviews. Alice Munro, known as a master of short stories, was born and grew up in Southern Ontario, Canada. Her writing is honest, and not always comfortable. encouraging you to examine the story you\u2019re living in. If you\u2019re looking for an example of an authentic voice, you\u2019ll find it in her work. Ms. Munro won the Nobel prize in Literature, in 2013. It has also been published in the UK, Germany, and Japan, and is currently in development for television. As a screenwriter, she has developed material for MTV Entertainment, Snapchat, and Comedy Central. She is a Black List Screenwriting Lab fellow who has placed in competitions including the Motion Picture Academy's Nicholl Fellowship and the Tracking Board's Launch Pad. Her short stories and poetry have been published in numerous literary magazines, and she has spoken and taught on writing to groups in several states and countries. She is also a co-host of the award-winning Charlotte Readers Podcast. No, I haven\u2019t found the exact word to describe Sarah\u2019s writing, but I am willing to keep reading her work until I do. I believe this is one of those, \u201cIt\u2019s all about the journey,\u201d things. And this journey, so far, has been remarkable.
