67: Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle (2004) and Inherent Vice (2014)

In honor of the national holiday 4/20, Stoner Movies is this week's theme.\xa0 "Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle" (2004) is about as "Stoner" as you get and didn't disappoint. Matt found it funnier than he thought it would be and Adam enjoyed it more on his second viewing. Both thought Neil Patrick Harris stole the show. "Inherent Vice" (2014) felt like director Paul Thomas Anderson was stoned when he wrote the adaptation for Thomas Pynchon's novel, because it was an incoherent mess that didn't work on so many levels. The show still loves PTA (Hard Eight and Magnolia), but neither of us can recommend this one.\xa0

Next up, the Aftermath of War: "The Deer Hunter" (1978) and "Cherry" (2021).
