Vengeance is the\xa0 theme this week. The 2004 "Grand Jury Prize" winner at Cannes, "Oldboy"(2003) it is described by one critic as "a beautiful, blood splattered modern classic". We agree. Not for the squeamish, but definitely worth seeing. "A Promising Young Woman" (2020) introduces us to women who exacts revenge for a friend. Not as dark as we hoped, but the film delivers with ending neither of us saw coming.
Next up: Angels on Earth with Wim Wender's "Wings of Desire" (1987) and Kevin Smith's "Dogma" (1999).\xa0
