But his beliefs evolved over the years when he realized he was wrong and now advocates for a low-carb, high fat diet in his more recent books \u201cThe Real Meal Revolution\u201d\xa0(2014) and\xa0\u201cLore of Nutrition: Challenging Conventional Dietary Beliefs\u201d (2017).\xa0\xa0

Professor Noakes, who single-handedly popularized the low carb diet in South Africa has created The Noakes Foundation to educate low income South Africans about modifying their diet to improve their health.\xa0
