Published: June 3, 2020, 5 a.m.

Pompano Beach, Florida, also known as the “Heart of the Gold Coast”, is known for it’s warm clear water, sandy beaches, and outdoor activities. But back in 1990, it became known for one more thing...murder. For 12 years, this cold blooded killer traveled the world praying on vulnerable women, killing them, and then stealing their identities. This con artist was both a master of manipulation and disguise. She became known as the “chameleon” since she had the ability to change her appearance and almost become her victims.

She was the subject of an international manhunt that started with the murder of a woman named Beverly McGowan.
