There was a loud knock at the front door. As Mr. Pham got up and headed towards the door, he felt a sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach. He looked at the time. It was a little after dawn and a knock that early in the morning could only mean one thing...bad news.
When he opened the door, he was face to face with two police officers. And that is when all of his worst fears were realized, because that is when he learned that his daughter had been murdered.
