Guest Bio: In Larry Stein's words; after struggling with stuttering for decades, I feel so fortunate. I just had to share what I’ve learned about working through stuttering and living the life you want. In some ways, I’ve lived two lives. For decades, I let stuttering compromise my career and nearly my life. Finally, in my mid-fifties, I faced my stuttering, relearned how to speak and how to think more effectively over a two-year period. It was a long, slow slog, but very, very worth it.
Today, I’m not a perfect speaker. But I’m good enough. I can say what I want, to whomever I want, whenever I want. And that’s good enough for me.
Today, I’m the happiest guy I know. I love my family (married, with two sons and the cutest grandson in the world), I love my work and I love giving back to people who stutter as a mentor, and now, this blog. I’m living a life I could never imagine.
