This week on Time Out! Let\u2019s Talk Policy, we explored the global economy, specifically its role in a country\u2019s development and the distribution of economic power and resources. We started by interviewing Riley about the January 28th GameStop incident and the similarities between the US economy and economies of other countries. After, we played a game to test contestants' knowledge on the GameStop situation and the stock market as a whole. Then, we had have a discussion surrounding the question \u201chow do different countries\u2019 stock markets interact with one another and affect the global economy?\u201d Finally, Sidra read her op-ed entitled \u201cThe profits of the pandemic: human life as a global currency.\u201d
