\n\nIt\u2019s December 12th. This day in 1909, garment industry workers in New York and Philadelphia are on a massive strike, protesting working conditions and beginning to unionize in favor of better working conditions. This was a couple years before the more infamous fire at the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory.
\n\nJody, NIki, and Kellie discuss how these earlier protests and victories re-cast our understanding of Shirtwaist, and the labor activism of the time.
