The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly Compensatory Call-In. We encourage non-white listeners to dial in with their codified concepts, new terms, observations, research findings, workplace problems or triumphs, and/or suggestions on how best to Replace White Supremacy With Justice ASAP. We’ll use these sessions to hone our use of words as tools to reveal truth, neutralize White people. We’ll examine news reports from the past seven days and – hopefully – promote a constructive dialog. #ANTIBLACKNESS The "new american classic" The Hate U Give made its box office debut this weekend. The C.O.W.S.'s Book Club reviewed this horrid text earlier this year; the young adult bestseller depicts black males as impotent, criminal, oversexed, drug selling hoodlums deserving of death. The main character, a black female who witnessed the death of her black male friend, hides her sorrows in the arms of her White boyfriend. Racism dominated the box-office and the ballot box, with a bevy of reports that various forms of tampering are restricting black voters access to polls in the coming midterms. Gus will also give a stingy update on his recently completed prenatal yoga teacher training.
