This was the second time I was blessed with the opportunity to provide a Gospel Message for the people of Carron Baptist Church in SW, Washington, DC.\xa0 The pastor is recovering from illness and I was asked to "pitch hit/" in his absence.\xa0 The Message was from,\xa0

Luke 10:25-37

The Parable of the Good Samaritan
\xa0
25\xa0And behold, a\xa0lawyer stood up to\xa0put him to the test, saying, \u201cTeacher, what shall I do to\xa0inherit eternal life?\u201d\xa026\xa0He said to him,\xa0\u201cWhat is written in the Law? How do you read it?\u201d\xa027\xa0And he answered,\xa0\u201cYou shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, andyour neighbor as yourself.\u201d\xa028\xa0And he said to him,\xa0\u201cYou have answered correctly;\xa0do this, and you will live.\u201d

29\xa0But he,\xa0desiring to justify himself, said to Jesus, \u201cAnd who is my neighbor?\u201d30\xa0Jesus replied,\xa0\u201cA man\xa0was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and he fell among robbers, who stripped him and beat him and departed, leaving him half dead.\xa031\xa0Now by chance a\xa0priest was going down that road, and when he saw him he passed by on the other side.\xa032\xa0So likewise\xa0a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side.\xa033\xa0But a\xa0Samaritan, as he journeyed, came to where he was, and when he saw him, he had compassion.34\xa0He went to him and\xa0bound up his wounds, pouring on\xa0oil and wine. Then he set him on his own animal and brought him to an inn and took care of him.\xa035\xa0And the next day he took out two\xa0denarii[a]\xa0and gave them to the innkeeper, saying, \u2018Take care of him, and whatever more you spend, I will repay you when I come back.\u201936\xa0Which of these three, do you think, proved to be a neighbor to the man who fell among the robbers?\u201d\xa037\xa0He said, \u201cThe one who showed him mercy.\u201d And Jesus said to him,\xa0\u201cYou go, and do likewise.\u201d
