Using Compassion To Create Coexistence

Published: May 4, 2022, 1 a.m.

Although it may appear almost instantaneous, compassion is a multi-level response comprised of:

an awareness of your own suffering or the suffering of another
sympathetic concern - being emotionally moved by that suffering
a desire to ease that suffering
and then a movement, responsiveness or action to help remove that suffering

The month of May is dedicated to this complex Heart Leader trait and the ways in which it's vital in creating strong relationships that ultimately lead us to coexistence. In this first discussion, Amber and Austin dive into:

▸ the role compassion plays in religion, faith and tradition

▸ how to use compassion as a way to connect with yourself, gifting yourself grace when needed, and then turn that skill outward to connect with others

▸ tools and techniques for building and strengthening compassion

Is compassion a trait that can be learned? Or is it something that we have from birth? Tune in and tell us what you feel after this episode of The Heart Leader Podcast.
