The Messy Process of Grief and Grieving

b'The COVID-19 pandemic caused many of us to feel that we had lost more than lives of friends and loved ones - we lost opportunities for closure, lost productivity, lost time. This has caused a tsunami of grief to wash over the world. 2023 is the first post-pandemic year that has felt anywhere close to "normal," but how are we expected to act? Do we suppress our feelings and move on, as our western culture dictates, or do we recognize that processing such deep and profound grief is, well, messy? In this episode, Anahata, chats with Nathan M. McTague, co-founder of the Center for Emotional Education, about the emotional and neurological effects of grief. Nathan also is working through the grieving process in the wake of a brother\'s death. Nathan will discuss how, with an intention to bring love, compassion and empathy to the self, we can allow ourselves to work with our thoughts and honor our grief. https://youtu.be/xo0ZefnVBnc'
