Finding your Freedom

Published: Nov. 5, 2021, 5 p.m.

Throughout school, Alan never felt like he fit in. He remembers feeling very uncomfortable when people in his life said things like "you will understand when you grow up, get married and have kids of your own" - he didn't see getting marred and having children as part of his future, but at the same time didn t know what he wanted.

As Alan's friends were planning their futures, ie. attending university, careers, etc. all he wanted to do was earn some money, leave school and find his independence which he did at age 16 after taking his GCSE's. He spent the first few years of his career exploring different roles, jobs, having fun but didn't find his calling. He started putting pressure on himself to "do better" and realized this was not how he wanted to live his life.

Join us while Alan shares the story of meeting his husband, their subsequent divorce, more pressure to do better - and then on to a journey of self-discovery into what HE truly wanted ... what his soul was calling him to do.
