Miss Grady: Help! Their! Somebody. help me! Bring back my package!

Amarah: Hey! Bring back that old ladies package. I\u2019m calling the cops. (Gunshot) Drop it!

Eliman: Oh! My leg!

Narrator: It\u2019s just like Miss Grady said. Elman, he stole Miss Grady\u2019s package off of her porch while the sun was just going down. Thanks to Amarah, Miss Grady got her package back, and Elman was picked up by some friends.

Miss Grady: Oh! Thank ya child! Come in! Come in!

Amarah: Are you Okay?

Miss Grady: I was just about to have supper, and that old thief, Elmon always messing round my door. Have some supper. I got collard greens, neckbones, potato salad, barbecue chicken, and cornbread.

Amarah: Looks good but I\u2019ve got to be \u2026

Miss Grady: Sit down. I\u2019m going to fix you a plate. Let Flip me see. Flip will be over tomorrow. I\u2019ll fix him one later on.

Amarah: Flip! Did you say Flip?

Grady: Yea, what\u2019s the matter? You know him?

Amarah: Yea, I do.

Miss Grady: What\u2019s you\u2019re name?

Amarah: I\u2019m Amarah.

Miss Grady: Well, it\u2019s nice to meet you Amarah. I\u2019m Miss Grady. Yea, I\u2019ve, been knowing Flip since he was a baby boy. His father was killed by the same bad guys. His mother raised him till he got grown and then she passed away. I had to turn the air on. It\u2019s hot. Been cooking all day.

Amarah could see out of Miss Grady\u2019s kitchen window that Flip lived near by.

She thought: I wonder if she has seen me in Flip\u2019s storage? If so, maybe she won\u2019t tell Flip.

Miss Grady: So how long have you known Flip?

Amarah: I\u2019ve known him since 1st through 5th grade. Both my parents were killed by the same bad guys that killed Flip\u2019s father.

Amarah & Miss Grady talked about an hour or so. Amarah had learned a lot more about Flip from Miss Grady. She left with her stomach full and she was on the look out for Elman. Amarah knew that she hadn\u2019t seen the last of him.
