Dorothea highlighted the fact each can teach one she shared memories of her mother's journey as a mompreneur in what we deemed "the original Uber". She grew up seeing her mother answer a need within her own community and can be seen in how she impacts the DV community. Can you remember something your mom did to raise money for sudden bills, to supplement a job loss or even to answer a need in the community? I personally remember my mother babysitting and sewing for many years of early childhood.
In this episode, Dorothea shared one of the ways she has pivoted in her business. Being able to pivot takes self-reflection and transparency. Your past can lead to your payment.
Dorothea's Mompreneur tips:
~ Ask yourself what skills do you currently have
~ Do you have any information or tools that can help another mother?
~ Don't take your gifts, no matter how small you think it may be, for granted
~ Remember that your expertise is someone else's Achilles heel.
