In Mark, chapter 8, Jesus tries to warn of us of the things that can so easily capture our souls; however, often, we're so busy trying to be religious that we don't hear what Jesus is saying. "Beware the yeast of the Pharisees and the Herodians". It's still a relevant warning for us today. Will we heed Jesus' warning, or will we, like the disciples, be so lost in trying to please Jesus that we miss the bigger picture.
