We discuss cannabis and the evidence that it is in fact highly toxic to the brain especially to teenage brains and is a bigger cause of fatal road traffic accidents than alcohol. It also causes strokes. We discuss that its ability as a gateway drug to Class A drugs is simply the market place supplying it. In other words buying cannabis from a dealer who is likely to have an assortment of illicit drugs to tempt you with is a far less preferable than buying it from a pharmacy. In other words in many cases the opportunity needs to be regulated not the substance. Humans will do anything if they are allowed to and almost all choices are emotion driven and therefore illogical so society needs to be regulated properly. It is unregulated capitalism and materialism that has disintegrated structure in society for years and led to loss of identity and loss of norms of social behaviour leading to people becoming increasingly self obsessed and selfish leading to an epidemic of depression where it has become the number one cause of illness and death.
