The secret of any relationship be it with yourself or anyone or anything else is acceptance and knowing how to be happy with the good enough as long as there are no deal breakers. The eternal quest for the ultimate experience also known as perfection is an artefact of modern times , a metaphorical illusionary need. We are hard wired to reflexly seek survival needs but since we have them in modern society then we live a life of metaphor and become slaves of instant gratification and spend our lives on this exhausting treadmill increasingly falling off with physical and mental illness. The horror is unregulated materialism/capitalism culminating in political correctness further disintegrates structure and is steadily leading to the collapse of modern society. This is not progress. Nor is it equality. It is chaos.
