Way back in 2007, I used to listen to this talk by Eric Thomas over and over again. It was the first time I really understood what it took to be successful.
Like he says, most people SAY they want to be successful, but they just kinda want it. The truth is, they’d rather be on Instagram scrolling through pictures all day, commenting on FB posts all day, and doing other things that distract them from doing what they know they need to do to be successful.
Success is a commitment. It seldom happens by accident. It’s a process that often goes on behind the scenes and out of sight. It requires a steady focus, a clear vision, and a willingness to fail forward.
And if you’d rather party than stay home and work toward your goal, if you’d rather go to bed early than stay up a few more hours and study, if you’d rather have your nose all up in your phone than in a book, then you just KINDA want it. Let’s just keep it real.
Tune into today's Quote of The Day episode and find out EXACTLY what it takes to be successful.
