Welcome to TV Break, where Pop Break’s Podcasts Editor Alex Marcus is joined by editor-in-chief Bill Bodkin, and TV Columnist Josh Sarnecky to talk about the happenings in television.

Here’s the format of the show:

The Best Thing I Saw on TV Last Month – Alex, Bill, and Josh talk about a show/episode/event they liked from the last month including Disney Plus’s Hawkeye; Netflix’s The Witcher; and Peacock’s Saved By The Bell.

Streaming Wars – Alex, Bill, and Josh pick a streamer they think “won the month” based on new shows airing/upcoming shows announced etc. This month, Bill & Josh agree that between the smash streaming hit of The Matrix: Resurrections, the high profile reunion special of Harry Potter, the hugely talked about finale of Succession & premiere of And Just Like That, and their recent and upcoming DC content, HBOMAX easily took the month. However, Alex handed the month over to Netflix thanks to their release of his favorite film of the year, The Lost Daughter, along with The Witcher S2, Adam McKay’s star-studded and much tweeted over Don’t Look Up, and a smorgasbord of Christmas movies.

News Break – Alex, Bill, and Josh remember the seventy-year career of TV legend Betty White, who passed away on New Years’ Eve at age 99. Here is the clip of Joan Rivers interviewing Betty that was discussed during this segment.

New Series Spotlight – Alex, Bill, and Josh watched the new Disney Plus original series The Book of Boba Fett, the streamer’s second live action Star Wars series.
