Today on The Neil Haley show, Neil Haley and Coach Hall interview Sam Clancy.\n\nSam Clancy\xa0(born May 29, 1958) is a former\xa0defensive end\xa0in the\xa0National Football League\xa0(NFL). He played for the\xa0Seattle Seahawks,\xa0Cleveland Browns, and\xa0Indianapolis Colts. He also played for the\xa0Pittsburgh Maulers\xa0and the\xa0Memphis Showboats\xa0of the\xa0United States Football League\xa0(USFL).\n\nPrior to his professional\xa0football\xa0career, he was a standout\xa0college basketball\xa0player for the\xa0University of Pittsburgh\xa0and member of the Gold Medal winning 1979 U.S.\xa0Pan American Games\xa0Mens Basketball team;[1]\xa0he played a season in the\xa0Continental Basketball Association\xa0for the\xa0Billings Volcanos\xa0in 1981\u201382, averaging 11.5 points and 8.3 rebounds per game.[2]\xa0He did not play football in college.[3]\n\nHe has been an\xa0assistant coach\xa0for the\xa0Barcelona Dragons\xa0of\xa0NFL Europe, as well as the\xa0New Orleans Saints\xa0and\xa0Oakland Raiders.
