It previously allowed cameras in common areas so long as they were disclosed on listings. \xa0

But it's also been facing complaints and online backlash from guests who have discovered hidden cameras during their short-term stays. \xa0

Auckland-based Zodiak Management director Stefan Nikolic told Mike Hosking that he thinks the change will only impact a small number of hosts.\xa0

He says that's because not many properties have internal cameras.\xa0
