Police are reassuring the public they have the resources to make sure a series of large protests in the North Island run smoothly.\xa0 \xa0

Hundreds have gathered in various locations around the motu to protest against Government policies perceived to be harmful to M\u0101ori. \xa0

Large crowds are at locations as far flung as Auckland, Wellington, Hastings, Tauranga, and Whangarei. \xa0

Assistant Police Commissioner Sandra Venables told Mike Hosking that various protests over the past three years mean Police are prepared.\xa0
