US President Joe Biden is pushing for the ceasefire to be extended.\xa0

He is stepping up pressure on Israel and Hamas to continue the release of hostages and delay a return to full scale fighting.\xa0

US Correspondent Richard Arnold told Mike Hosking that Biden\u2019s envoy is pushing for the scope of the hostage releases to be broadened.\xa0

He said that so far, the hostages released have been women and children, but they want the releases to include men and military personnel as well.\xa0

Arnold said that the US is also seeking a longer military pause, the release of American hostages held by Hamas.\xa0
