The US Department of Justice and 15 states are suing Apple.\xa0

They're alleging it's used the powerful demand for its iPhone and other products to drive up prices for its services and hurt smaller rivals.\xa0

Apple joins a list of the biggest tech companies sued by US regulators, including Alphabet's Google, Meta Platforms, and Amazon.com across the administrations of both Donald Trump and Joe Biden.\xa0

US Correspondent Richard Arnold told Mike Hosking that they\u2019ve fired the opening shot in what he guesses will be a drawn-out legal battle.\xa0

He said the company has been accused of using anti-competitive tricks to maintain its bestseller position, including limiting functionality when communicating with other brands by pixelating videos and not encrypting conversations.\xa0

Apple denies that they\u2019re doing anything sneaky.\xa0
