Peter Reidy: KiwiRail Chief Executive on the cancellation of the Cook Strait ferry upgrade
The Government's sunk plans for the Cook Strait ferry upgrade, pulling the plug on contracts already underway.\xa0
KiwiRail's plans to fix the infrastructure got too expensive according to Finance Minister Nicola Willis, who announced they won't be going ahead with the plans. \xa0
KiwiRail Chief Executive, Peter Reidy, told Mike Hosking that they now need to come together to find a way forward.\xa0
He says they respect the Government's decision but would like to sit down with them to secure a resolution for the infrastructure.\xa0
