Reading Recovery support is becoming less common in schools.\xa0

The number of children receiving the intensive one-on-one literacy assistance has dropped by a third over the past three years.\xa0

Less than half the country's primary schools now offer the programme.\xa0

Education Hub Founder Nina Hood\xa0told Mike Hosking that many don't think it provides their students with the level of support they require. \xa0

She says they're now offering different programmes, which they find more effective.\xa0
