The Electoral Commission has apologised over errors in the vote count at three polling booths.\xa0

It's checking all results after admitting a data entry error caused hundreds of votes to be assigned to the wrong party.\xa0

At a booth in Port Waikato, more than 500 votes intended for National were wrongly assigned to the Leighton Baker Party.\xa0

Another booth in Port Waikato, and a polling station in Ilam, both had the incorrect count.\xa0

Chief Electoral Officer Karl Le Quesne told Mike Hosking that they're re-checking candidate votes at the moment.\xa0

He says most were processed yesterday and there are possibly a few more errors, but they're just confirming that today.\xa0
