Team New Zealand has officially launched into their America\u2019s Cup era.\xa0

They rolled their new AC75 out of the shed last week, officially launching it in a ceremony in Auckland yesterday afternoon.\xa0

The boat was named Taihoro, the name gifted by Ng\u0101ti Wh\u0101tua \u014cr\u0101kei, inspired by Taihoro-Nukurangi, the name translates to \u201cto move swiftly as the sea between both sky and earth\u201d.\xa0

Team NZ CEO Grant Dalton told Mike Hosking that there is a quantum step up in pace between Te Rehutai, who they defended the America\u2019s Cup with last time, and Taihoro.\xa0

He said the wizardry of these engineers is that they\u2019re able to make incredibly fast boats go faster and faster.\xa0
