Charles Darwin University has found that online learning can increase a student\u2019s short and long-term memory by improving their cognitive capability.\xa0
They surveyed 482 students studying an accountancy degree between 2020 and 2021, and found students faced difficulties learning, overwhelming students and increasing their cognitive load.\xa0
Dr Nina Hood, founder of the Education Hub, told Mike Hosking that the situation isn\u2019t cut and dry, and there are a few reasons to be sceptical about this study.\xa0
She said that while there definitely are benefits to online learning, it doesn\u2019t necessarily mean it\u2019ll be the same quality as in person learning, and it also depends on the subject being taught.\xa0
