The 49-year-old died after collapsing at a charity event in Auckland yesterday.\xa0
Community leader David Letele was at the event and told Mike Hosking that he spent yesterday reflecting.\xa0
He spent the day with his family because life is fragile, and we have to treasure every moment.\xa0
Parliament has adjourned until Tuesday and the Green Party has approached the Speaker about having some bereavement leave for some of its MPs.\xa0
Collins is set to be replaced by Lawrence Xu-Nan, who ran in the Epsom electorate for the Greens at the election.\xa0
