The 50cm X-Wing Starfighter model was considered missing for decades, before being found in a cardboard box in the garage of an Oscar nominated model maker.\xa0

Toy Collecting Expert, Bob Collins, told Mike Hosking that it\u2019s likely that the model maker wouldn\u2019t have a clue that it was going to be worth so much.\xa0

He said that collectables become desirable due to the nostalgia factor, as people want to recapture their memories. \xa0
