The film follows up the first two seasons of the show while filling in the backstory of who Laura Palmer was leading up to the day of her death and the mysterious murder of Teresa Banks. It's a divisive follow-up to the show and a worthy setup for what would come with the 2017 return of\xa0Twin Peaks.
