Pregnancy & Your Cycle | How to Adapt your Fitness Training to Suit You with Claire Falconer

Today we have the privilege of speaking with Claire Falconer who is a PT, Yoga, Functional Medicine and Nutrition coach, helping mothers stay healthy through pregnancy. Men’s bodies don’t change much over short periods of time, so they don’t have to worry about what they should be doing health wise at a given time of the month, whereas women’s bodies are changing constantly according to their hormones and thus must be able to adapt based on where their body is at.

“When you’re menstruating, the last thing you wanna do is go for a hip session. I mean for me anyways, some people might, but I don’t. For years I tried doing it and I was like, ‘This isn’t working. There has to be more to this picture.’ And there is more to this picture. It turns out that we have been, like, most of society basing our whole existence on men’s existence rather than honoring our own. So yeah, it’s about tuning into us as women.” 9:59
